Albertina – Directly opposite the hotel. One of the world’s great collections of prints and drawings, with major temporary exhibitions from Classical Modernism to the present day. From Dürer’s Hare to Klimt, Schiele, Richter and Kiefer. Albertina Modern at the Künstlerhaus focuses on contemporary art. In 2026, the 250th anniversary takes centre stage.
Kunsthistorisches Museum – A ten-minute walk away on Maria-Theresien-Platz. One of the world’s most important art museums, with masterpieces by Vermeer, Bruegel, Caravaggio, Raphael and Titian. The major spring exhibition in 2026 is dedicated to Canaletto and Bellotto.
Belvedere – The Upper Belvedere holds the largest collection of Austrian art, including Klimt’s The Kiss and works by Schiele. The Lower Belvedere hosts temporary exhibitions. Just a short tram ride away.
Leopold Museum – In the MuseumsQuartier, around 15 minutes on foot. Home to the world’s largest Schiele collection, alongside Klimt, Kokoschka and the Vienna Modernists. In 2026, the Leopold presents Austria’s first solo exhibition dedicated to Courbet.
Heidi Horten Collection – Three minutes from the hotel. One of Vienna’s newer museums, with an impressive private collection of modern and contemporary art in a remarkable building.
MAK – Museum of Applied Arts – For design, architecture and fashion. One of the Ringstrasse’s most beautiful museum buildings, with exhibition spaces by artists including Donald Judd and Jenny Holzer. In 2026, the MAK presents the first exhibition devoted to Viennese fashion designer Helmut Lang.
Art in the hotel – design as a way of thinking

Three days of art in Vienna
Day 1 – Classical Modernism: Begin at the Albertina, directly opposite the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Heidi Horten Collection, also within easy walking distance. In the evening, dine in the Brasserie or cross the street to the Vienna State Opera.
Day 2 – Old Masters and world culture: Allow a full morning for the Kunsthistorisches Museum. In the afternoon, continue to the MuseumsQuartier for the Leopold Museum or mumok, depending on your interests. Finish the day at Café Central or Café Hawelka, followed by a cocktail at the Loos American Bar.
Day 3 – Art Nouveau and the Secession: Visit the Belvedere for Klimt and Schiele, then see Klimt’s Beethoven Frieze at the Secession. From there, stroll towards the Naschmarkt. If you love design and architecture, the MAK is a beautiful way to round off the day.
