The Brasserie at The Guesthouse Vienna has become a favourite address for business lunch in the 1st district. Central, stylish and efficient, it offers a weekly changing lunch menu that balances quality with pace. The lunch menu
Head Chef Florian Oswald and Sous Chef Jakob Urwanisch create a new business lunch menu every week. The foundation is always the same: seasonal ingredients, regional produce where possible, and honest cooking. What changes are the dishes – from Viennese classics to pasta, steak and thoughtful vegetarian plates.
The menu is intentionally concise. A few dishes, properly considered. Starter or soup, main course, dessert – a lunch that can be enjoyed within an hour, without ever feeling rushed.

Brasserie: daily from 6.30 am to 11.00 pm (kitchen until 10.30 pm)

A good setting for a business meeting
The restaurant you choose says something about the meeting. Inviting a business partner to our Brasserie shows good taste without making a show of it. Sir Terence Conran’s interior – wood, leather, brass and large windows – feels professional and welcoming, without the stiffness of a grand hotel dining room.
Tables are spaced well enough for discreet conversations. The acoustics are pleasant. Service is attentive but unobtrusive; the food arrives when it should, and so does the bill. For a business lunch, that matters as much as the menu.
Why the Brasserie works so well at lunchtime
The Brasserie is open all day, but lunch has its own rhythm. Our weekly business lunch is not a smaller version of the evening menu; it is designed for the working day.
Dishes are prepared and served within a sensible timeframe. Portions are satisfying without being heavy. The price makes it possible to return regularly, not only for special occasions. Some of our guests lunch with us several times a week, which may be the best compliment of all.
In Vienna’s 1st district
Führichgasse 10 is in the heart of the city’s business district, surrounded by offices, law firms and companies, between the State Opera and St Stephen’s Cathedral. Karlsplatz and Stephansplatz underground stations are both just a few minutes away on foot. For business lunch in Vienna, convenience matters – and it hardly gets more central than this.
If you would like coffee from our house roast after lunch, stay as long as your day allows. The kitchen is open throughout the day, and afternoon coffee at the Brasserie is a habit many regulars have happily adopted.
