Dog-friendly boutique hotel:
Holidays with your dog
We warmly welcome you and your dog.
Your dog is very welcome at The Guesthouse. On arrival, your four-legged companion will find a dog bed, a water bowl and a few little treats waiting in the room.
Dogs stay with us at no extra charge. We do not add a cleaning fee or pet supplement, because “dogs welcome” should mean exactly that. Your dog is part of the family, and we are happy to have them here.
Vienna with a dog
Vienna is more dog-friendly than many visitors expect. The city has more than 900 dog zones and plenty of parks where dogs can run freely. From the hotel, you can reach the Burggarten and Volksgarten within minutes, both green pockets in the city centre. Stadtpark, with its famous Johann Strauss monument, is also close by and has a designated dog area.
For a longer walk, we recommend the Danube Canal, around 15 minutes from the hotel. In summer, many places along the water put out bowls for dogs. If you want a full afternoon outdoors, take the underground to the Prater; the broad meadows along the Hauptallee are much loved by Viennese dog owners.
PINTU – dog spa around the corner
A few steps from Stephansplatz, PINTU combines a concept store and dog spa for people who appreciate good design for their dogs too. From designer dog beds and handmade leads to grooming and spa treatments, it is a lovely address to know. Reception will gladly point you in the right direction.
Walks around the hotel
Some of our team have dogs themselves and know the best routes nearby, from a short evening loop through Augustinerstraße and the Burggarten to a longer morning walk via Heldenplatz and the Ring. We can also recommend coffee houses and restaurants nearby where dogs are welcome – in Vienna, there are more than you might think.
If you tell us when booking that your dog is coming too, we will prepare the room before you arrive. Less to think about, more time to settle in.
A boutique hotel that understands dogs
With just 39 rooms, the hotel has quiet corridors, short distances and a relaxed atmosphere – helpful for dogs that are sensitive to unfamiliar places. The Superior Rooms facing the inner courtyard are especially peaceful and often a good choice for more nervous four-legged guests.
If you have any questions about staying with your dog, call +43 1 512 13 20 or write to office@theguesthouse.at. We look forward to welcoming you both.
